Police and state intelligence agencies from several

countries may soon be  working together to secretly

hack into private citizens’ personal computers

without their knowledge and without a warrant. 

 

 

According to a London Times report, the police

hacking process, called “remote searching,” enables

law enforcement to gather information from e-mails,

 instant messages and Web browsers, even while

 hundreds of  miles away.

 

Furthermore, the Times reports, a new edict by the

 European Union’s council of ministers in Brussels

has paved the way for international law enforcement

agencies to begin remote searching and sharing the

information with each other. According to the

Times, the United Kingdom’s Home Office, the nation’s

lead government department for immigration, drugs

and counter-terrorism  enforcement, has already

 quietly adopted a plan that would enable French,

German and other European Union police forces to

 request remote searching  be done on UK citizens’

computers

America, now the minority, functions in a print-based, literate

world. It can cope with complexity and has the intellectual tools

to separate illusion from truth. The other America, which

constitutes the majority, exists in a non-reality-based belief

system. This America, dependent on skillfully manipulated

 images for information, has severed itself from the literate,

print-based culture. It cannot differentiate between lies and

 truth. It is informed by simplistic, childish narratives and

clichés. It is thrown into confusion by ambiguity, nuance

 and self-reflection. This divide, more than race, class or

gender, more than rural or urban, believer or nonbeliever,

red state or blue state, has split the country into radically

distinct, unbridgeable and antagonistic entities.

There are over 42 million American adults, 20 percent of whom

hold high school diplomas, who cannot read, as well as the 50

million who read at a fourth- or fifth-grade level. Nearly a third

 of the nation’s population is illiterate or barely literate. And

their numbers are growing by an estimated 2 million a year. But

even those who are supposedly literate retreat in huge numbers

 into this image-based existence. A third of high school

graduates, along with 42 percent of college graduates, never

 read a book after they finish school. Eighty percent of the

 families in the United States last year did not buy a book.

The illiterate rarely vote, and when they do vote they do so

without the ability to make decisions based on textual

information. American political campaigns, which have learned

to speak in the comforting epistemology of images, eschew real

ideas and policy for cheap slogans and reassuring personal

 narratives. Political propaganda now masquerades as

ideology. Political campaigns have become an experience. They

do not require cognitive or self-critical skills. They are designed

to ignite pseudo-religious feelings of euphoria, empowerment

and collective salvation. Campaigns that succeed are carefully

 constructed psychological instruments that manipulate fickle

 public moods, emotions and impulses, many of which are

 subliminal. They create a public ecstasy that annuls individuality

and fosters a state of mindlessness. They thrust us into an

eternal present. They cater to a nation that now lives in a state

of permanent amnesia. It is style and story, not content or history

 or reality, which inform our politics and our lives. We prefer

 happy illusions. And it works because so much of the

American electorate, including those who should know

better, blindly cast ballots for slogans, smiles, the cheerful family

tableaux, narratives and the perceived sincerity and the

attractiveness of candidates. We confuse how we feel

 with knowledge.

None ever hesitate to bring up the “Holocaust” in

their demonization of Hitler. But Allied leaders

were not exactly innocent valient heros. How

can we villify Hitler regarding a “Holocaust” that

news reporter, Peter Worthington, of the OTTAWA SUN. He did his

his column on September 12,1989 the following, in part:

 

“…it is hard to escape the conclusion that Dwight Eisenhower was

a war criminal of epic proportions. His (DEF) policy killed more

In late March or early April 1945, I was sent to guard a POW camp

 near Andernach along the Rhine. I had four years of high school

German, so I was able to talk to the prisoners, although this was

forbidden. Gradually, however, I was used as an interpreter and

asked to ferret out members of the S.S. (I found none.)

 

In Andernach about 50,000 prisoners of all ages were held in an

open field surrounded by barbed wire. The women were kept in a

separate enclosure that I did not see until later. The men I guarded

had no shelter and no blankets. Many had no coats. They slept in the

 mud, wet and cold, with inadequate slit trenches for excrement. It

was a cold, wet spring, and their misery from exposure alone

was evident.

 

When I threw this food over the barbed wire to the prisoners, I was

caught and threatened with imprisonment. I repeated the “offense,”

and one officer angrily threatened to shoot me. I assumed this was

a bluff until I encountered a captain on a hill above the Rhine shooting

down at a group of German civilian women with his .45 caliber

 pistol. When I asked, “Why?,” he mumbled, “Target practice,” and

fired until his pistol was empty. I saw the women running for

cover, but, at that distance, couldn’t tell if any had been hit.

 

These prisoners, I found out, were mostly farmers and workingmen,

as simple and ignorant as many of our own troops. As time went on,

more of them lapsed into a zombie-like state of listlessness, while

 others tried to escape in a demented or suicidal fashion, running

through open fields in broad daylight towards the Rhine to quench

their thirst. They were mowed down.

Strangely, in view of the current depiction of the Holocaust

 

 by Hollywood, the papers make no mention of the plight of

The Assassination Of George S. Patton

assassination. After the war he became a liability to

The newly unearthed diaries of a colourful assassin for

the wartime Office of Strategic Services (OSS), the

forerunner of the CIA, reveal that American spy

chiefs wanted Patton dead because he was threatening

to expose allied collusion with the Russians that

cost American lives.

 

The death of General Patton in December 1945, is one of

the enduring mysteries of the war era. Although he had

suffered serious injuries in a car crash in Manheim, he

was thought to be recovering and was on the verge

of flying home.

 

But after a decade-long investigation, military historian

 Robert Wilcox claims that OSS head General “Wild Bill”

Donovan ordered a highly decorated marksman called

Douglas Bazata to silence Patton, who gloried in the

 nickname “Old Blood and Guts”.

 

His book, “Target Patton”, contains interviews with Mr

Bazata, who died in 1999, and extracts from his diaries,

detailing how he staged the car crash by getting a troop

truck to plough into Patton’s Cadillac and then shot the

general with a low-velocity projectile, which broke his

neck while his fellow passengers escaped without

a scratch.

 

Mr Bazata also suggested that when Patton began to

recover from his injuries, US officials turned a blind

eye as agents of the NKVD, the forerunner of the

KGB, poisoned the general.

On May 7, 1945, just before the German capitulation,

Patton had a conference in Austria with U.S. Secretary

of War Robert Patterson. Patton was gravely concerned

over the Soviet failure to respect the demarcation lines

 separating the Soviet and American occupation

zones. He was also alarmed by plans in Washington

for the immediate partial demobilization of the

U.S. Army.

Patton said to Patterson: “Let’s keep our boots polished,

bayonets sharpened, and present a picture of force and

 strength to the Red Army. This is the only language

they understand and respect.”

 

Patterson replied, “Oh, George, you have been so close

to this thing so long, you have lost sight of the big picture.”

Patton rejoined: “I understand the situation. Their (the

 Soviet) supply system is inadequate to maintain them in

 a serious action such as I could put to them. They have

chickens in the coop and cattle on the hoof — that’s their

supply system. They could probably maintain

  themselves in the type of fighting I could give them for

five days. After that it would make no difference how

 many million men they have, and if you wanted Moscow

I could give it to you. They lived on the land coming

down. There is insufficient left for them to maintain

themselves going back. Let’s not give them time to build

up their supplies.

 

Think about it. The U.S. supposedly fought to liberate Europe,

but in the end, half of Europe was under Communist oppression.
